The LED Blue Light Solution

The Oral -X Blue light oral care system offers a scientifically proven, non-invasive alternative solution to maintain good oral health in just 5 minutes a day

“Technology employing blue light to improve oral ecology could be the most important advancement in maintaining periodontal health since the invention of the toothbrush.”- Dr. Goodman D.D.S., Forsythe Institute – Harvard Medical School

Light Therapy is the most effective way for you to destroy oral Plaque and the harmful bacteria. It will also heal your gum tissue and reduce the sensitivity of your teeth.

“Since the invention of the toothbrush 75 years ago, there has been little true innovation in oral hygiene. All that is about to change,” https://dentalasia.net/oral-hygiene-device-pioneered-by-forsyth-institute-scientists-comes-to-market/

Why is oral care so important for the elderly ?

Oral care is a significant factor affecting older peoples’ quality of life, overall health and well being. Gum disease (periodontitis) and tooth loss are commonly experienced by older people.

Periodontal disease

It is a “Silent” disease which, it is estimated, 75% of all adults have but most do not even know they have it, or how serious it is.

Periodontal disease (Periodontitis), is characterized by receding gums, wobbly teeth and is the primary culprit in tooth loss among older adults. It starts when Plaque builds up in the shallow trough between the tooth and the gum.

Teeth are covered with a sticky film known as Biofilm or Plaque which consists of the oral bacterial cells. The more destructive bacteria are known as ” Black Pigmented Bacteria (BPB) which are implicated as pathogens associated with Periodontists .

Boston–Scientists at The Forsyth Institute have found that blue light can be used to selectively suppress certain bacteria commonly associated with destructive gum disease.

The research, published in the April Journal of Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy, suggests that light in the blue region of the visible spectrum might be useful in preventing, controlling or treating periodontitis — an oral infection that can lead to loss of bone and teeth.

Research had shown that as many as 700 different types of oral bacteria may be found in dental plaque that accumulates on teeth. While some bacteria appear to be benign or even helpful, others may invade and destroy gum tissue and bone — leading to loss of teeth, and, possibly, to infection elsewhere in the body.

Among the more destructive bacteria are the so-called “black-pigmented bacteria” (BPB) which have been implicated as pathogens associated with periodontitis. Such bacteria accumulate black pigment consisting mainly of organic compounds called porphyrins. Some porphyrins are photosensitive, and, when activated by visible light, induce a photodynamic reaction that kills the microorganism within seconds.

The researchers conclude that intraoral light exposure can selectively reduce pathogens in dental plaque.

Oral X 3 – The blue light solution

Oral X 3 is a safe and natural remedy that uses Blue Light to suppress the harmful bacteria in the mouth and lets the healthy bacteria survive

• Kills bacteria that causes gum disease and bad breath
• Reduces build-up of plaque and tartar
• Treats and prevents gum issues including gingivitis and sores
• Decreases tooth sensitivity and inflammation of the gums
• Promotes overall healthier gums and teeth
• Helps Denture-Related Stomatitis, Halitosis, and Erosion

The blue light LEDs bathe gums and stimulate deep healing to reduce teeth sensitivity and improve gum health. The blue light has been scientifically proven to kill harmful oral bacteria which is the root cause of gum disease, gingivitis and bad breath.

A TESTIMONIAL

As for the Oral X 3 device, I love it. My smile looks brighter, there’s less accumulated dental plaque and for want of a better way of expressing it, my teeth feel stronger. Previously, whenever I ate fruit my teeth would feel ‘electric’ – sometimes for a couple of days – but since I’ve been using your oral device I’ve had no sensitivity at all, which I think is amazing.
